, rachel. we know that they came here as the children were brought here. and they went through the work, and we're talking about hundreds of kids now, of matching the children with their parents. in the end you have 20 sets of parents who are left. and it is left to be told to them. and the governor was among those who were there to tell the parents that your children are not going to be coming home. and so i think it goes without saying the devastation that this community is feeling. the sense of -- i wouldn't even can say outrage yet. in my experience at these things, the outrage comes later. but the total feeling of hopelessness and senselessness that has overcome this community as they try to figure out why something like this could happen, rachel. >> chris, thinking about that initial response, thinking not just about what it must have been like to be personally connected to that, but to be a first responder coming upon that scene and needing to do the active shooter search that we know that law enforcement did once they determined that the shooter was dead, then assessing what had

and rachel. we will remember them. >> dylan hockley moved here two years ago. he was six years old. a special needs child, they chose this community for the reputation of the sandy hook elementary school. he thrived due in part to his teach thaer worked with him one-on-one. the hockleys kept a photo of her on their kitchen fridge and dylan would point at it every day. on friday he died in her arms as she tried to shield him with her body. they take great comfort in knowing that dylan was not awill be when he died. dylan loved to cuddle, play tag and bruns on the trampoline and idolized his older brother jake, his best friend, his role model and his parents say they cherished the time they had with dylan in newtown. we do not and shall never regret this choice. our boys have flourished here and our family's happiness has been limitless. olivia engel was set to play an angel in the church's nativity play last friday night. she was six years old. she was proud to lead they are family in saying grace every evening. her parents say her zest for life began early, a happy baby, that grew into a happ

, connecticut shooting one week ago. a private service is scheduled for mary sherlach. and rachel davino, there will be her funeral. there are also memorial services for grace mcdonnell, dylan and olivia engel. another shooting victim has been held for nancy han za. she was laid to -- lanza. she was laid to rest 120 miles from newtown, connecticut. approximately 25 family members attended the ceremony. >>> 7:36. in michigan, dozens of schools canceled classes today because of that threat that today would be doom's day based on the mayan calendar. there were rumors and threats of a student revolt if classes opened. administrators say they took those threats seriously, especially after what happened in connecticut last friday. they say rumors of trouble became a distraction and it was easier to close schools. students' safety caused collapses to be canceled in new milford, not far from newtown, connecticut. >>> this morning police and federal agents raided a connecticut gun store connected to the shooting at sandy hook elementary school. they raided the store after learning that store has

years old. none of the children were older than 7. we'll remember rachel davino, anne marie murphy. we will remember her and so will this community. we'll remember 30-year-old lauren russeau who wanted to be a teacher before she even started kindergarten. she was a full time substitute at sandy hook. we'll remember mary sherlach, the proud mother of two young daughters. we will remember victoria soto. no one in this town will ever forget victoria soto, she died trying to protect the lives of her first graders. she was the oldest of four children. and, of course, the school principal dawn hochsprung. even little kids know when someone cares about them, and that was her. we will remember her as we remember all 26 lives lost in that school that day. 26 lives cut short friday morning at sandy creek elementary school here in newtown, connecticut. newtown is now the nation's heartache. it is our open wound. a whole so large that we're not sure god can fill it. something to hope for. his hope is, everyone's hope, as wez bring you some moments from tonight's vigil, starting with first responde

. you addressed the issue of what happens next, i saw you on rachel's show friday. your theory are it's key to how the fiscal cliff plays out. explain. >> there's a significant difference of opinion in the political ramification of what happens if we go over and it comes down debt ceiling. if we go over the fiscal cliff they have all of the leverage because we'll go into the debt ceiling and it will be just like 2011 again. they'll say we're not going to raise the debt ceiling unless you cut entitlements, barack obama will say no and terrified of consequences of national default he'll say yes. so they'll get all of the entitlement cuts with no tax increases on the table. democrats disagree. they will not, under any circumstance, no matter what republicans do, negotiate over the debt ceiling again. they'll break the habit now. if we go to the debt ceiling they'll say we're not talking about this, if you want to have a deal on entitlements, that will have to be matched one to one with tax increases, again, with tax reform. if they do that say democrats get $600 billion in tax increases
